Beware of online scams!

'Beware of online scams!' is a campaign against fraud in electronic payments, launched on 14 May 2024 by Banca d'Italia in collaboration with consumer associations. While fraud remains a significant and insidious issue, it is relatively contained compared to the vast number of electronic payments made daily by all of us.

The campaign aims to raise awareness of the most common and deceptive scams and to provide guidance on appropriate conduct, to increase the chances of recovering any funds that may have been wrongfully taken. Another key objective is to inform citizens about the protection tools offered by Banca d'Italia.
