Spoofing

Spoofing is a scam in which a fraudster falsifies communication channels to conceal their true identity, often impersonating the victim's bank. They use phone numbers that appear official and request access credentials, frequently claiming to need them to resolve issues with the account.

To protect yourself from this scam, as highlighted in the video, never provide your access credentials via phone, email, SMS, or messaging apps; communicate with your bank only through official channels; and activate SMS alerts to monitor electronic payments.
