Teacher training

Mano che prende annotazioni

Banca d'Italia is accredited with the Ministry of Education and Merit for teacher training in both cycles of education (Directive 170 of March 21, 2016). For many years, Banca d'Italia has supported teachers throughout the country in developing competencies, working collaboratively with teaching staff.

The educational booklets, created by Banca d'Italia and distributed for free to both teachers and students, give many practical tips to connect financial concepts with various subjects and develop classroom activities. Topics include sources of income, budget planning, money and its functions, prices, payments, saving, investing, credit, environmental sustainability, and cybersecurity. The approach is not only individual but also collective, focusing on values rather than just facts.

Thanks to Law no. 21/24 of 5 March 2024, financial education has become part of Civic Education, an interdisciplinary and cross-curricular subject that involves the entire teaching staff in developing a training path that includes finance, saving, and investment.

These are the various Banca d'Italia courses for teachers.
