EuroSteps Walking Challenge
The EuroSteps Walking Challenge is a step‑based competition that brings together physical well‑being and financial literacy, involving 27 European countries and potentially reaching 450 million citizens. The initiative is organised by the European Central Bank (ECB) in cooperation with several national central banks of the euro area, including Banca d'Italia.
The competition will begin on 1 April 2026 and will run throughout the month. Registration is possible at any time. To take part, download the Walk15 app (QR code below), access the dedicated competition section and select "Italy". Participants will receive texts with advice on managing money effectively, covering topics such as loans, investments and protection against online scams, while contributing their steps to Italy's final score.
Twenty prizes will be awarded: ten for the most active participants and ten drawn by lot. Among the prizes are several Interrail passes. All participants will be able to download a certificate of participation.
