Formazione scuola-lavoro in numbers

  • By the end of the 2024-25 school year, more than 2,500 students had taken part in Banca d'Italia's school-to-work transition programmes, with 98 per cent of respondents expressing a positive or very positive opinion.
  • The programmes were delivered across the whole country and involved students from all types of secondary schools. For the first time, female participants outnumbered male participants.
  • Most students reported an improvement in their soft skills and in their ability to make informed choices about their future; fewer than 2 per cent considered the experience to be of little relevance.
  • The school-to-work transition programmes show a positive impact in terms of financial literacy and awareness of the central bank's role. For example, 76 per cent of participants correctly stated that Banca d'Italia does not provide loans to individual citizens (compared with 36 per cent before the school-to-work transition experience), while 95 per cent said they had improved their understanding of the role of public authorities.
  • Students particularly appreciated their relationship with the tutors, with each programme welcoming a maximum of 12 students.
